Maher al-Sharaa is a Syrian politician and physician who served as Secretary-General to the Presidency from 2025 to 2026. He previously served as Acting Minister of Health in the Syrian caretaker government from December 2024 to March 2025. He is the brother of Ahmed al-Sharaa, the current President of Syria.
